Trailer brake system is mainly composed of air pressure supply system, brake valve control system and brake actuation system.
1. Air pressure supply system
The air pressure supply system is the foundation of trailer brake system, it will raise the air pressure to a certain degree through the air compressor, and then the compressed air will be stored in the air tank for the brake system. The air pressure supply system also includes air pressure gauge and safety valve and other devices, which are used to monitor and protect the stable operation of air pressure.
2. Brake valve control system
Brake valve control system is the core part of the trailer brake system, which controls the opening and closing of the brake valve to achieve the work of the braking system. Brake valve control system mainly includes brake valve, control valve and valve components. When the driver steps on the brake pedal, the brake valve will open, releasing the compressed air into the brake actuating system, thus realising the braking of the trailer.
3.Brake Execution System
The brake actuating system is the final execution part of the trailer braking system, which converts the compressed air into braking force through the cylinder and brake drum and other devices to realise the braking of the trailer. When the brake valve is opened, the compressed air enters the cylinder and pushes the brake drum to contact with the wheel, generating friction and thus realising the braking effect.
