For older trailer models without integrated baffles, aftermarket modular damping parts can be installed. Standardized loading procedures are essential to minimize sloshing risks. Industry practical experience proves that filling the tank to around 80 percent capacity is the safest choice, while full loads or ultra-low loads should always be avoided. The reserved 20 percent space accommodates
liquid thermal expansion under changing temperatures and limits the free space that allows violent liquid surges. Both overfilling and insufficient loading will exacerbate gravity offset, making the vehicle unstable during turns and emergency travels, so such loading behaviors must be strictly regulated.
Driver's operating habits play a decisive role in real-time risk prevention. Sudden acceleration, harsh braking and sharp steering maneuvers are the primary causes of intense liquid sloshing. In actual driving scenarios, drivers need to maintain gentle and steady speed changes. It is necessary to slow down in advance before entering curves and refrain from braking sharply during turning. When traveling on rough and bumpy road sections, keeping a stable low speed can effectively reduce liquid vibration and fluctuation inside the tank.
Routine inspection and maintenance are indispensable for long-term safe operation. Operators should regularly check the tightness and integrity of internal baffles and damping accessories. Once these anti-sloshing parts become loose, deformed or damaged, they will lose their damping effect and leave major safety hidden troubles for highway transportation. In short, only by combining optimized tank structure, standardized loading rules and normative driving behaviors can we effectively eliminate liquid sloshing risks and ensure stable and safe trailer transportation.
