Fixed lock assemblies are indispensable safety components for vehicle-carrying trailers. These specialized devices are designed to stably fasten passenger cars during long-distance road transportation, effectively avoiding vehicle displacement, sliding and collision incidents caused by bumpy roads, emergency braking and sharp steering. Scientific daily inspection and standardized timely replacement of lock assemblies can effectively eliminate hidden driving dangers and prolong the overall service life of trailer transportation equipment.
Daily visual inspection is a necessary basic maintenance step for lock devices. Before starting each transportation mission, on-site operators need to carefully check the equipment for apparent faults, including lock body distortion, spring damage, loose connecting bolts and surface cracks. Meanwhile, workers should test the flexibility of the switch and the stability of the locked state to ensure no jamming or slipping. Minor faults such as loose fasteners need on-site debugging and fastening to prevent subsequent structural damage to the entire locking system.

A comprehensive professional inspection should be carried out every three months. The inspection focuses on checking internal lock core abrasion, fatigue aging of elastic parts and metal corrosion of key components. For trailers that run frequently, bear long-term heavy loads, or work in humid, saline and other harsh environments, the inspection cycle needs to be adjusted to two months to adapt to complex and harsh operating conditions.
Under conventional working conditions, the normal service cycle of standard fixed lock devices is 24 months. Nevertheless, once the lock assembly has severe deformation, excessive wear, serious corrosion or functional failure, it must be replaced immediately regardless of its service time. Strictly implementing daily maintenance and timely replacement rules can keep the locking system in stable working condition, and effectively guarantee the transportation safety of vehicles and the driving safety of road trailers.
