1. Avoid catching fire.

When maintaining a dump truck, it is often necessary to use flammable and explosive materials such as oil and cleaning agents. At this time, do not forget fire protection measures and prepare fire extinguishers to be on the safe side. Do not smoke near the fuel tank and battery, as combustible gases escaping from the fuel tank and hydrogen gas escaping from the battery are easily ignited.

2. Avoid burns.

The engine of a dump truck that has just turned off must be carefully touched to prevent burns due to the high temperature of its various components (water tank, exhaust pipe, power steering fluid tank, spark plug, etc.). If the engine temperature of the dump truck is high, do not remove the water tank cover or loosen the drain switch to prevent burns.

3. Avoid damaging the dump truck.

Brake fluid has a damaging effect on the paint film of dump trucks (including the paint film of leather shoes), as it can quickly dissolve the paint film. Brake fluid is harmful to the eyes. If it splashes into the eyes, it must be immediately rinsed off with clean water.

4. Avoid not paying attention to the protection of rotating machinery and dump truck road tests.

When the engine of the dump truck is running, be sure to keep your hands, clothes, and tools away from the rotating fan and fan drive belt (it is best to remove items such as rings, watches, and ties worn). During the test drive, the condition of all parts of the dump truck should ensure safe parking and effective steering. The dump truck for road testing must have clear test markings. During the test drive, personnel must ride safely and proceed on a dedicated test track.

5. Avoid neglecting the cleaning of the workplace.

When closing the engine hood or other assembly covers of a dump truck, check if tools, cloths, and removed parts have been forgotten. Only after confirming their accuracy can the dump truck engine be closed.
