Namibian mid-sized road transport contractors have placed their second repeat bulk order for heavy-duty 3-axle curtain-side semi-trailers from LUYI AUTO, marking growing trust in purpose-built commercial trailer solutions across the Southern African freight corridor.

The latest 8-unit order comes 18 months after the client took delivery of their first 6 LUYI curtain-side units, deployed across high-frequency routes connecting Walvis Bay Port, Windhoek, and cross-border runs to southern Angola and western Zambia. The client's core fleet work covers palletized wholesale consumer goods, mining equipment spares, and perishable agricultural produce, where consistent trailer reliability directly translates to on-time delivery bonuses and reduced cargo damage claims.

Fleet operators reported the first batch delivered 1.2 km per liter better fuel efficiency than their aging European-origin trailers, with less than 2% unscheduled downtime across 180,000 route kilometers - even on unsealed gravel access roads and through Namibia's extreme dry dust, coastal salt spray, and occasional summer storm conditions. The anti-corrosion zinc primer coating and UV-resistant 1000D PVC side curtains held up far better than expected, eliminating the frequent curtain replacement and premature frame rust issues they faced with older competing units.

This repeat batch is built to the same proven heavy-duty spec: 60-tonne gross payload capacity, reinforced Q345 high-tensile steel frame, lockable sliding side rails, heavy-duty landing gear, 12R22.5 deep-tread radial tires, and factory-fit mud flaps to cut road dust adhesion. Units will ship via RoRo service from Qingdao to Walvis Bay in early November, with on-site commissioning, a 24-month structural frame warranty, and local spare parts support out of LUYI's Windhoek warehouse included.
