LPG is highly flammable, so bulk transport tank trailers need strict safety rules. Key standards: America's ASME (250 psi, SA-516 Grade 70, U-Stamp), Europe's EN 12493/ADR (lightweight, P460 NL1, 15–17 bar), China's GB (1.6–1.72 MPa, welding/lightning protection), plus India's OISD and global ISO 9001/TPED. They use pressure-resistant, corrosion-coated steel (30–70 m³ cylindrical, 1.25–1.5x working pressure, no mixed gas) and safety parts like pressure relief valves. Loading/unloading max 85% tank volume; transport needs ABS, "Dangerous Goods" signs, route limits, certified staff.

Routine maintenance: daily leak checks, regular coating/electrical inspections, 5–10-year hydrostatic testing, weld checks, annual instrument calibration. Trailers must carry emergency equipment like fire extinguishers and leak repair kits-if there's a leak, close the valves and isolate the trailer right away; for fires, use dry powder extinguishers and never spray water directly on the tank. Operators must have valid certificates, go through regular training, and keep learning new safety practices. These rules apply throughout the trailer's use and get updated with new technology to keep LPG transport safe.
