Daily inspections are a must for the air compressor fitted on bulk cement tank trailers. Simple but careful daily upkeep keeps the pneumatic cement conveying system running smoothly. It can effectively avoid cement clogging during unloading and prevent unexpected mechanical breakdowns while the vehicle is in transit. Operators need to fully check the equipment's outer condition, pipeline and oil lubrication systems, as well as its actual operating state before each startup.
The inspection begins with a full external check. Wipe off cement dust and grime covering the compressor body, as dirty surfaces block heat dissipation and easily lead to equipment overheating. Inspect the whole unit for physical cracks, shape distortion and oil leakage traces. All fixing bolts and mounting brackets should be checked tightly, as long-term driving vibration often loosens parts and causes premature wear. Also examine the cooling fan and its guard to rule out damage and deformation.
After exterior checking, move on to air delivery and lubrication components. Check all inlet and outlet pipes, flexible hoses and connection joints for air leaks, aging cracks and surface wear, and tighten
any loose clamps. Check the lubricant level to ensure it sits within the standard scale. Change the oil in a timely manner if it turns muddy, degraded or diluted to protect internal parts from severe friction damage. Besides, drain all condensed water from filters and air tanks regularly, since leftover water will ruin cement quality during unloading.
End the inspection with a real machine test. Let the compressor idle for a period of time, and watch out for unusual sounds, strong vibration and excessive heat. Make sure the pressure gauge reads correctly and the safety valve works normally, with air pressure building up steadily within the specified range. Keep clear and true records of every inspection item. Shut down the device at once if any fault is found for timely repair. Consistent daily checks help remove hidden dangers and guarantee safe, stable operation of cement tank trailers.
