A new fleet of custom-built 4-axle curtain side semi-trailers has arrived in Bolivia, purpose-made to solve the country's tricky logistics challenges in mountain mining transport. Mining is a vital economic industry across Bolivia, but the region's twisty, rough mountain routes and variable weather have always made cargo transportation a tough task. Ordinary standard trailers struggle to cope with the frequent heavy-load, long-distance haulage of ores and mineral materials in local mining sites. Built fully according to local field conditions, these customized trailers fit the daily operation needs of local mining transport teams perfectly.
The four-axle design is a key practical feature of these new trailers, tailored for local mountain road conditions. It spreads cargo weight more evenly, boosts overall load-bearing performance, and makes driving far more stable on narrow, rugged mountain roads. Meeting Bolivia's local traffic and load standards, the design rules out overloading risks while letting operators carry more cargo per trip, which significantly improves long-haul transport efficiency. Unlike traditional fully enclosed trailers, the flexible curtain side design allows easy side access for loading and unloading bulk mining goods, saving a huge amount of manual work and operation time on site.
We built these semi-trailers with thickened high-strength steel frames, specifically to handle the intense, round-the-clock working conditions of Bolivian mountain mines. This sturdy build greatly reduces abrasion and structural damage even under sustained heavy loads. The customized side curtains are thick and durable, delivering solid waterproof and dustproof effects to protect ore materials from wind, rain and road dust during long-distance transit. Besides, we optimized the suspension and brake components specifically for local steep and uneven roads. These upgrades bring better cushioning effect and more sensitive braking, making mountain haulage much safer.
